There's a lot to unpack here, but I'll start with, "The Last of Us."

I don't claim to be 'Woke." I'm a black, handicapped man, living in South Mississippi, that is married to a very white country girl. Seriously, she grew up in the country, on basically a farm. She canned fruit during the summer for fun. Sorry, went on a mini rant, but I wouldn't call myself "Woke" in any fashion.

Now, do I have different life experiences than a lot of you? Absolutely. But being discriminated against outwardly and subtly is my life. Therefore, while I'm not gay, I morally identify with their struggles. Discrimination doesn't have to be just white or black; it can be LGBTQ, straight, or rich or poor.

My point is that no one is "Woke" for liking the plot of TLOU 2 or not liking the plot. But until recently the LGBTQ community was ignored in the media representation or played up for laughs or scorn. Same for my people in movies and television shows. We were either gang bangers or drug dealers or unemployed vagrants. I'm not a huge fan if Tyler Perry, but at least he portrays black people with nuances and layers and normal successful people. It's why Black Panther will always get love in my house until the end of freaking time, same with Coming to America.

So when Naughty Dog makes a layered LGBTQ story I don't get all up in arms because how often does that happen?

Furthermore, if the people that claim to love TLOU as a series know, Ellie has always been a lesbian (look at the DLC from the first game.) Then why would you be upset or surprised this is a minor plot point in the next game, or lose your mind over Abby and her story in the sequel. TLOU has always been a series about the LGBTQ community.

And that's the dumb part about this outrage. Because the third game will get made and it's going to be even more heavy into the LGBTQ community. If you have a problem now it's not going to get better later. There's even a bigot Ellie ignores at the beginning walk through section of the second game. So, you bigots out there can feel representation too.

Now if you have an issue with graphics (you don't) or the gameplay (you don't) then that's different, but if you're upset that there's a story where two fictional characters smash fictional body parts together then I can't and don't want to help you. But representation and diversity is good, even if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

The Playstation 5 arrived today, and it wasn't a brick (like Oreon suggested) or an Air Fryer, (Like Bank Ribber suggested) but instead was an honest to goodness Playstation 5.

The set up was fairly simple and a shout out to Oreon for helping me with the physical set up. I downloaded the software update for the console and what surprised me was that the new Duelsense controller needed a software update too. Kind of crazy.

Overall, it's very fast compared to the PS4, and everything feels very new and smooth. I think smooth is the one word I would use to describe the User Interfacem I need more time to dive into everything, but it's definitely a change, one for the better.

The Nintendo Direct was a bust for me. Maybe Ninja Gaiden III coming to Switch, and the Salt/Iron game looks cool, and I'll eventually get Bravely Default II, but the rest is just boring.

Splatoon 3 in 2022: Dont care. Never played the first 2 because Nintendo's online is non functional. Same reason I don't own Smash or care for Smash. (Guilty Gear Strive on PS5 looks incredible though)

Skyward Sword HD: They did mostly take out the terrible motion controls, but I've been over Zelda since 1994. I want to get back into the series, but they aren't trying so why should I?

Mario Golf: That looks fun and has the potential to ruin Thanksgiving or Christmas. Plus speed golf is a neat feature. It's a possibility with a price drop.

Overall.. Meh. No new Breath of the Wild 2 footage, taking away the terrible weapon break feature from the first game, No Metroid Prime 4, no Metroid 5 in 2D, no new Mario Kart 9 or F-Zero, and definitely no version of Mother 3 coming to America. Basically just things people other than myself will get excited for, and that's what Nintendo is for me now and has been for years.

A new Nintendo Direct is happening in a few hours, and my predictions are; No new F-Zero, No English port of Mother 3, and some exclusive Switch port of an older game that is digital only but you have to buy it before e it goes away forever for some reason. Like Disney putting **** in the vault back in the day.

I'll come back later with thoughts about the Direct, Rush dying, and Troy Aikman and Joe Buck drinking on the dambn job. (The two drinking answers a lot of questions.)

The Thunder Rosa match was the best of rhe night; At least in my opinion. Those ladies wrestled very well, and were fully covered compared to others I've seen on any wrestling promotion. I enjoyed the match, but it is all subjective.

The only other rings I will mention are that Darby Allin's whole gimmick is that he's a goth skater and they wear faded, washed, and ripped black jeans. Those were some of my best friends in high school during the 90's, and holds true even today.

The other thing is suspension of belief; in that when MJF kicks out everyone that the camera person isn't everyone, and doesn't exist at all, and that no one watches back stage segments in wrestling. Yes, it doesn't make any damn sense, but it's wrestling. These people beat the **** out of each other every week without the law getting involved or people dying. Pretending a camera person doesn't exist isn't going to end the suspension of belief. Within the wresting universe it's as common as tables under the ring every week... why? Or a sledgehammer... Looming at you Triple H.

But it wasn't the best week for AEW except a few highlights. Raw and Smackdown were worse if we're looking at the whole business for critique.

I'm behind on WandaVision, and by behind, I mean I haven't started, and have avoided all spoilers thus far. Although, everyone still seems confused which is a good thing in my opinion.

In all the chaos of trying to fix my house, a few people dying, and getting a new car, I did finish Final Fantasy VII Remake last week. It took an interesting turn in the last few chapters, and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here. If you've finished the game, or saw the spoilers, I would really like to talk about the changes and what they're going for in the narrative.

Next on the list is Ghost of Tsushima. I hope it lives up to the hype.

I think my older brother and sister liked Willow a lot more than I did. Warwick Davis has and always will be awesome, but the film isn't my favorite. I'm glad other people can enjoy the film, but it's not my favorite. Clash of the Titans is fun, but my mom loved that more than I did, and my dad loved Conan, and it wasn't for me.

I prefer Real Genius, Better Off Dead, Zapped, or Up The Academy. Those were my 80's movies and I like to revisit them now because they're just fun.

As for Spider-Man, I like my women thicker, personal choice, and a thicc Mary Jane Watson isn't a bad thing at all.

Finally, Michelle Trachtenberg said there was a rule on set where she wasn't allowed to be alone with Joss Whedon. Dude is just a creep.

To switch subjects entirely, but not forever because I still have thoughts on wrestling. Thoughts that even a giant P.O. wall of text (That I fully read.) Can't stop me from expanding on a little later. However, we need to move on to apparent garbage human being Joss Whedon.

Joss Whedon is a Garbage (Person) Human Being.

This isn't surprising news as many of his former actors, producers, and crew people said that he's a terrible foot fetish obsessed little garbage person. People just ignored it Because he's "Talented."

I read on Twitter (Yes, that was my mistake and I'm sorry.) That Joss was and is under a lot of pressure while shooting shows and movies and that it's okay for him to be mean and rude and a little sexist. That same idiot also said it was okay for Joss to be Joss because normal people are terrible every day and they don't give us Buffy or The Avengers.

To that response I say, "Go suck an Egg."

The measure of a man is how he treats those less than himself, not his equal, peers, or superiors. Became Joss did have a measure of power it was his obligation to be better than others that are there now, or come before him, as an example for those moving forward. He didn't do this, and thus deserves scorn.

I wish it wouldn't have taken all these years for the truth to come out, but women have so much more to lose than a man, and can be black balled very easily. But Ray Fisher told all of us about this 3 years ago on the set of Justice League, and people laughed at him. I hope no one is laughing now.

**** Cornette claimed he came up with the idea for the "Montreal Screw Job" which effectively killed Kayfabe forever.

Before that night very few people knew Vince was behind WWE, but after that night the secret was out, and if he did have a hand in the plot for what happened, then he created the monster of modern day pro wrestling that he claims to hate; which is fine and ironic.

Basically Cornette is the old man yelling at the young kids to turn down their rap music and to get off his lawn. Things will never go back to the style of wrestling he prefers and he just needs to accept that reality. Mainly because that style of wrestling wasn't that great to begin with, and kayfabe further died with the internet age. Sure it got pushed forward that night in Montreal, but it was going to happen sooner or later anyway.

As for the quality of AEW. As a person that watches all the wrestling shows every week, Raw, Smackdown, Impact, NXT, and New Japan, AEW is the best when you combine story and quality wrestling. New Japan has the best wrestling in the world, NXT is next, with AEW not far behind. Raw and Smackdown are hot garbage most nights, and the booking and wrestling are subpar. But don't listen to Cornette spew his hatred and out of context stupidity. Watch a show from beginning to end and then make a decision. Also, Ring of Honor is awesome too, but no television deal, which is a shame.

Looks like your gut had the right idea, Wave. Disappointing game, IMO, but my father's chili and wings were well worth it.

Oh, I started playing Final Fantasy VII Remake after the halftime show. I still have some Hard mode simulator battles to finish, and that was a better use of my time than watching the second half of that game.

I blame a lot of this loss on Andy Reid for not knowing how to call a run play or how to call a pass play shorter than 30 yards. Clearly the Bucs were blitzing on nearly every play, and having Mahomes sit back there and hold the ball for 5 to 7 seconds was a stupid game plan after the first quarter, and yet he didn't change it at all. He did this same kind of crap in Philadelphia with McNabb and that game too.

I'm still alive. I've just been super busy with life stuff. We did get a new car, which was an ordeal, we did get our fence finished, less of an ordeal, but the rest of our house is still not finished; as the giant hole in the south side of my house still persist.

The contractor was supposed to start tomorrow morning, but we don't have enough money from the insurance claim to fully pay off the materials and the labor. Therefore, I have to call our insurance adjustor tomorrow morning and explain we need another 4 to 7 grand to finish the work. That should go over well. Because insurance companies love writing checks.

Anyway, lots of stressful stuff and it'll get done, but it's exhausting.

I have The Chiefs winning tonight 38 to 27. I don't like or trust Tom Brady and he could somehow win this game, and while my gut is saying Bucs, my heart and brain yell me Chiefs.

Scarlett and I are shopping, and it's not as fun as you would think. Let me explain.

We go on a tes drive yesterday. It's a Chevy Equinox, and it's a nice SUV. It's blacked out, leather interior, back up camera, built in navigation, etc. But the trunk is on the small side. That's a deal breaker for us because of my wheelchair. I can walk short distances, but for restaurants and other unfamiliar or large places we take my chair as it's easier.

The sales person just slams the trunk door on my wheelchair and looks at my wife and tells her, "See, it fits." For 15,000 grand it better do more than "Just fit" with half of the four pressing my chair into uncomfortable spaces.

Therefore, the search continues. We've been looking for a week and we're already exhausted.

The stuff that's coming out about Microsoft from the past 20 years in the gaming industry is hilarious.

First they tried to buy Nintendo, or at least met with them about buying them out, and when that failed, because duh, they tried to partner up with them on something else... who knows?

Now it turns out when developing the first XBox Microsoft dismantled a PS2 to come up with ideas to help the development of their first console.

I don't know how all of this is leaking or why, but it's awesome and they should keep it up because it's fascinating.

I'm currently playing through Final Fantasy VII Remake again after the move, and the game is much better when my stomach isn't turning hard and trying to kill me, or 2 people I love dearly aren't dropping dead.

I understand the game play better, and the story makes a lot more sense. I was clearly distracted by life to enjoy the game, and a restart was all I needed.

The global sales are coming back for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S, and it's a big lead for Sony, even in America.

I have close friends that are die hard Xbots, and it's really confusing because their loyalty isn't rewarded with quality exclusives. My brother talks more about Gamepass than they do, and the games they play I can play on PS4.

Truthfully, I miss playing with them because there were late nights of playing Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 that I will cherish forever. I guess it's true that you can never ho back.

I paid 7 dollars for a used copy of Kingdom Hearts III today, and I still might have gotten ripped off.

I got a 9 dollar copy of Boarderlands 3. That may be a deal however.

Finally, I hot a copy fo DragonBall Z: Kakarot for 16.00 bucks. It seems like a deal, but who knows.

It was. Gamestop buy 1 get 1 and I checked the receipt and got a good deal as the DBZ game was priced at 30, and the lady only charged me 15.99 plus tax.

As a joke I got Oreon "Let's Sing Country" to open up on Christmas as a joke gift. He won't be amused, but we all will.

I'm not buying a projector. Replacing bulbs and other nonsense. The next television I get will be a 4K OLED television with HDMI 2.2 ports. I won't have to worry about bulbs or light levels or any of that. It'll be 1,500.00 well spent.

Sorry, I've been busy doing adult things.

We got the bunny fixed so he'll stop jumping my cats... from behind. Even though the bunny is tiny and the cats are huge. Go figure.

I spent all day yesterday calling contractors to fix my house. At least a dozen different roofing companies, another 5 siding companies, another 6 or 7 fence companies, and an interior decorator.

Then I had to meet with all of these people from sun up to sun down, and wrote a 15,000 check for that new roof.

You know what I could have done with fifteen grand?

Like buy one PS5 off Ebay.

I was watching the He-Man episode with the mechanical horse last night. It was a bit egregious even by the usual product placement standards >_>

Terrible episode, too. The Sorceress revealed her very crappy origin story that did little to explain or demystify Castle Greyskull which she was directed to find by a guy in her village (who looked like Mentor?) and replaced the existing Sorceress so she'd have the power to stop an evil magician (and despite promising to tell the origin of the magician, I'm not sure that was ever really covered either) and a group of aliens who had strongarmed into helping him (who had what looked like the Horde emblem on their armor). So basically you have her going to ask to gain powers from an existing Sorceress who already had powers, already knew about the threat, but was doing nothing about it.

And for some reason, she wanted He-Man to come with her alone (which is why he took that mechanical horse they literally introduced a few minutes earlier rather than Cringer). At the end of the episode, I still wasn't sure why it was so important for him to come alone since Cringer, Orko, and Man-at-Arms tend to be in on all of those secrets. And what she told him wasn't exactly anything significant.

Of course, the worst part is having to hear her talk for a full episode. Her high-pitch, sing-song-y voice is okay in small doses where it's just a little annoying

The highlight of the episode is watching an alien shoot at the Sorceress in hawk form and miss, then the Hawk-Sorceress shoots beams from her eyes and the alien drops the gun and says a raspberry-worthy, "That's not supposed to happen!" It was a hilariously awkward piece of dialogue made even better by the delivery.

You mean the charger you got with the system or a cheaper charger you bought elsewhere?

It was a different charger altogether. Not the original one that came with The Switch.

That's one hell of a teamup.

Yeah, I got to name Beerus, and Batman was his original name when we adopted him. My wife gets to name the next animal we get.

In other good news my wife got her original job back. I'm now officially worth more dead than alive again. Something like 100,000 and I keep yelling her to refuse to take me to dialysis if I get out of hand. I'll be dead in a week or two.
